What do I need to apply? Responders are required to have a minimum valid certification of Standard first aid with CPR-A from a recognized first aid provider. These include Red Cross, Saint John's Ambulance, Lifesaving Society, and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. If you have a certification from another provider please contact us to discuss you unique situation. We will also accept paramedics, nurses, doctors, and other registered health care professionals.
Next you will need to get a Police Records Check from your local police station with a Vulnerable Sectors check. This fee can be reimbursed if it will be a barrier to your joining. Please send us an email with a copy of your proof of purchase and reasoning why it is a barrier and we will make every attempt to help you out!
Once this is all complete, you must send a copy of the PRC along with a photocopy of your valid certifications to: inquiry@goodneighbourmedical.com We will be in touch with a few business days if you are successful in order to gather some final information. Once that is all done, a welcome kit with all the necessary materials will be mailed to you. At this point you may advertise your status as a Good Neighbour Responder within your community and display your Good Neighbour Medical sign in your window when you are available to assist.
Further instructions are included in the welcome kit.
